In the event you are contacted by a debt relief agency advertising services to provide a debt repayment plan, to assist with mortgage foreclosure, to assist with eviction proceedings, to assist in eliminating calls from debt collectors and collection agencies, or to provide any other assistance based upon your inability to pay your debts, be sure to ask them whether or not they can advise you on both your bankruptcy and non-bankruptcy alternatives. Also ask whether they are certified by the American Board of Certification as a bankruptcy law specialists to provide the services they are offering.
